Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverages while maintaining The Sunny’s service standards.
- Lead by example behind the bar—modeling hospitality, precision, and a positive, engaging presence.
- Train, mentor, and support bartenders and barbacks to ensure consistency and exceptional guest experience.
- Assist in creating seasonal cocktail menus, signature drinks, and beverage activations aligned with The Sunny brand.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of spirits, wines, cocktails, and flavor profiles; stay updated on industry trends.
- Oversee bar setup, breakdown, cleanliness, organization, and inventory levels.
- Ensure proper pouring, portion control, and adherence to all alcohol safety guidelines.
- Support beverage cost control initiatives including ordering, receiving, waste reduction, and stock rotation.
- Handle guest interactions with professionalism and warmth; resolve issues quickly and graciously.
- Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage leadership team to elevate service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and alcohol service.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale or luxury hotel/bar/restaurant environment.
- Previous experience in a lead or trainer role strongly preferred.
- Expert knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and mixology techniques.
- Strong guest service focus with the ability to create personalized, memorable experiences.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Must hold or obtain required Florida alcohol service certifications (e.g., SafeStaff/TIPS).
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work nights, weekends, and holidays.
