Reservations & Policies FAQ
Yes — you’re welcome to ship packages ahead of your stay at no extra charge. Please address them to your name and arrival date, c/o The Sunny, 16701 Collins Ave., Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160. Kindly note that the hotel cannot accept responsibility for lost or misdirected packages.
We place a refundable hold of $100 per day on your card for incidentals. The hold is released on the day of check-out, though the actual time it takes to appear back on your account depends on your card provider.
A credit card is required at check-in to secure your reservation and cover incidentals. Cash is accepted to settle your balance at check-out.

The Sunny Hotel opened November 1st 2025, but this beachfront icon has history. Originally opened in 1967 as The Newport, the property has welcomed generations of travelers to Sunny Isles Beach. Today, it enters a new era as The Sunny — thoughtfully reimagined and still proudly family-owned.

Our team is proudly multilingual, with staff members who speak English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Russian. Language offerings may vary by team member, but we’re always here to make communication feel easy and welcoming.
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. You are welcome to store your luggage with us to continue enjoying the property and neighborhood.
The cancellation policy is specific to the rate (or special offer) and how you booked. Please carefully check the cancellation policy, which can be found on your reservation confirmation. If you booked directly with the hotel, we require 72 hours to cancel your room without penalty. Please contact the Front Desk if you have any questions about your reservation.
The $50 daily resort fee per room includes beach service, beach towels, two beach chairs daily per room, 24-hour access to the Fitness Center, WiFi, and local and toll-free calls. Umbrellas, cabanas, daybeds, and additional beach chairs can be rented for an additional price.
Yes, the minimum age to check in at the hotel is 21 years old.
We welcome your furry friends with open paws; however, there is a one-time non-refundable cleaning fee of $150 per stay. No weight limit; maximum of two pets per room. Please note that there isn’t a charge for service animals.
While there is no guarantee, we do try our best to accommodate guests requesting early check-in and late check-out based upon availability. We invite you to inquire at the Front Desk upon arrival.
